Assemble AR

(2024 Class Project) Assemble AR is an application designed to portray 3D build instructions, using AR to show the instructions alongside the actual construction within reality. Scan the QR code for the item you are building and build the virtual model along with the real object! By moving the camera, or manually rotating the object on the screen, you can make sure you are following the instructions correctly from every angle.

Technology: Utilized Unity AR to create the project, scripted in C#, and integrated an external package from Zappar to incorporate image tracking. Also used Github for version control and Github Pages to publish the WebGL build.

Role: I was the sole creator of this application, creating the game elements and functionality in Unity, the assets in Gimp, and referencing the package provided by Zappar to utilize image tracking AR technology. This project was created over the course of one semester.

Learned: Learned how to work with 3D and 2D assets in an AR space, how to utilize a third party package to incorporate a base for certain technologies, and gained experience incorporating feedback and criticisms into future iterations of the project.
