Process
Whenever I am designing a level or a feature within my games/projects, I begin with a Node Graph and a list of acceptance criteria - everything I want it to contain and the general path it should follow.


Then I take this information and make a more detailed sketch as to how I think this level or feature would look in the game/application.
Finally, if I am working in a team, I would get their approval before transferring my sketch into actual game assets. Then I would playtest to see how it feels in engine, take note of any changes that should be implemented, and keep fine-tuning until it feels enjoyable for the user.
