
Grim's Coffin
(Capstone Project 2024 - in Progress) In this dark, atmospheric pixel-art metroidvania, you play as the Grim Reaper, cutting down foes and guiding restless spirits as you navigate woeful realms to dethrone the corrupt King of the Underworld.


Technology: Unity and Visual Studio for scripting and gameplay programming. Github for version control. Jira for task management and sprint planning.
Role: I am the main level designer for our team of five in a year-long capstone project. I sketch out level concepts and potential pathways for the player to take and implement those designs in Unity using tilesets in our 2D pixel art scenes. I have also taken on some production tasks by setting intermittent deadlines between major sprint deadlines and keeping our team accountable for such.
Learned: I learned the difficulties of making sure there is cohesion between gameplay and narrative and that playtesting frequently and with more intention will provide better feedback
